May 6, Muckfest MS Mud Run 2017

Watch or participate as teams run into muddy mischief, epic falls and lots of laughs at this charity event at the Concord Speedway. Spectators are free and can enjoy refreshments while watching the muddy race.



May 12-13, North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival

This beer and music festival in Huntersville will feature over 30 North Carolina and regional craft breweries, live music, food trucks and a weekend filled with local entertainment. Guests are welcomed to camp out for the entire weekend to get the full effect of the festival.

May 20, Cheerwine’s Centennial Celebration

Celebrate all things Carolina with a N.C. barbecue competition, local food vendors and live music. Guests can expect to enjoy limited edition Cheerwine merchandise for purchase, samples of local BBQ restaurants, food from Cheerwine’s partners and friends including Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Bojangles, Biscuitville, King of Pops and more. Kids are welcome to come play in the family-friendly kids zone with magicians, jugglers, rock climbing wall, obstacle course and more.



May 25-28, Speed Street

600 Festival’s Speed Street, presented by Coca-Cola, is a Charlotte tradition that shuts down blocks of streets Uptown Charlotte for a Memorial Day weekend including a 5K race and evening concerts by country music artists Billy Currington and Jake Owen throughout the weekend. These events all lead up to the Coca-Cola 600 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday.
